Het landgoed Linschoten is een fraai startpunt om de omringende polders te voet met de fiets of varend te verkennen. Het traditionele polderlandschap word doorsneden door diverse waterlopen: de Lange en de Korte Linschoten, de Hollandse IJssel en de lek. Polders worden afgewisseld met pittoreske oud Hollandse stadjes Linschoten, Montfoort, en Oudewater. In het gebied liggen diverse kastelen, waaronder ook in de nabijgelegen vestingstad Woerden.

The Linschoten estate is a great starting point for exploring the surrounding polders on foot, by bike or by boat. The traditional polder landscape is intersected by various waterways: the Lange and Korte Linschoten, the Hollandse IJssel and the Lek. Polders are interspersed with picturesque old Dutch towns like Linschoten, Montfoort and Oudewater. There are several castles in the area, including the nearby fortress town of Woerden.
