You'll find plenty about the death of guitarist Jimi Hendrix while searching for details about this young man's fate, but all we appear to have is what is on the headstone. This is a fairly common variety of marble headstone, with an open book at the top, and below it, the gate into Heaven. The inscription reads:
Hendrix Long
Born
Jan. 3, 1885
Murdered & robbed
Dec. 18, 1902
Type of Death Listed: Murder
Cause of death inscription on headstone: Murdered & robbed
