The communal wash house of Lavatoggio was registered as a Historic Monument in 1987. This small granite building with a slate roof dates from the Second Empire. The origin of the name Lavatoggio would be due to the numerous springs and wash houses of the commune.

Communal Washhouse

Small aedicule built during the Second Empire and linked to the development of the communal space. A small granite construction is leaning against a retaining wall and opens, on the front façade, with a pointed arch. It defines a rectangular space that shelters two rectangular masonry tanks with granite slab edges. The water, channeled, is projected through an opening in the back wall.
