This area was recently created, and on the shutters of the garages they put various murals of many themes so that the place would have "another air". There are writers, things from Galicia, etc.

In this garage shutter, there is the face of the young poet, in blaks colours with a blue background.

Person:
"Eduardo Blanco Amor; Orense, 1897 - Vigo, 1979) Spanish writer in the Galician and Castilian languages ??who is ranked, along with Álvaro Cunqueiro and Xosé Neira Vilas, among the best post-war Galician narrators. Cultivator of all genres, his work is considered that of a prose writer who has a great command of narrative technique, and whose most outstanding notes are the richness of language and humor that runs through his main constructions.

As a young man he emigrated to Argentina and there he developed a great journalistic activity as director of the Céltiga magazine, the newspaper of the Federation of Galician Societies and the literary magazine A Terra; During that stage, and especially after he joined the Buenos Aires newspaper La Nación (1926) as an editor, he was related to Leopoldo Lugones, Horacio Quiroga and Jorge Luis Borges, among other authors. He returned to Spain as a correspondent for La Nación (1929-1931) and as editor of the Ciudad magazine in Madrid (1933-1935); that last year he published the Seis poemas gallegos of Federico García Lorca. He was also a professor at the Faculty of Humanities in Uruguay and at the Escuela Internacional de Temporada in Santiago de Chile, and director of the Spanish Chamber Theater in Buenos Aires.

His prose, in fluid and popular language, has represented a renewal in contemporary Galician novels. He cultivated various genres: poetry, narrative, theater and essay. His first poetic book, Romances galegos (1928), is modernist with avant-garde influences. Poema en catro tempos (1931) is considered his best contribution to Galician poetry. In Spanish he published En solitude amena (1941) and Horizonte evadido (1963) and, again in Galician, Cancioneiro (1956).

He began his work as a narrator after the Spanish civil war. His first novel La Catedral y el niño (Buenos Aires, 1949), which takes place in Orense, like his first novel in Galician, A esmorga (Buenos Aires, 1959), which he himself translated into Spanish under the title La parranda, in 1962. Os biosbardos (The Shrews), from 1962, are autobiographical stories. In 1963 he published Fears. His last narrative work was Xente ao lonxe (People in the distance), from 1972, a social and political saga centered on a family.

As a playwright, he published Farsas (1953) in Buenos Aires, with three pieces, and in 1962 a second edition was made in Mexico with three more pieces. In 1973 it was published under the title Farsas para títeres in a bilingual edition in Spanish and Galician. In 1974 he published Teatro pra a xente. As an essayist, he dedicated studies to Galician and Spanish authors, from Rosalía de Castro and Alfonso Rodríguez Castelao to Benito Jerónimo Feijoo and the philosopher José Ortega y Gasset; It is worth mentioning, among other titles, Chile a la vista, El Padre Feijoo, Returning to Ortega y Gasset, Castelao and Good manners. He also published three anthologies: Rosalía de Castro, Valentín Lamas Carvajal and Antología popular del Padre Feijoo."
