This Peace Pole is located in Fort Myers' Lakes Regional Park Fragrance Garden. This pole was one of 200 Peace Poles gifted to the America the Beautiful Fund in honour of their 30th anniversary in 1995. This was one of the first poles placed and featured a ceremony with ABF President Nanine Bilski and representatives from Japan. (

Made in Japan the vinyl pole has “May Peace Prevail on Earth” and “May Peace Be in Our Homes and Community” printed on it.
The pole itself sits at the center of a circular garden near the water at Lakes Park.
