De treinrails aan de noordkant van Station Arnhem Centraal is ingegraven. Aan beide kanten van de rails is een hoog talud waar naast woonwijken liggen.
Zo kun je bij het spoorbruggetje tussen de Oranjestaart en de Noordelijkeparallelweg op het spoor kijken.
Vanaf hier zie je de doorgaande lijnen richting Nijmegen en de lijnen richting Utrecht langskomen. De treinen naderen het station of rijden hier net vandaan dus zijn (nog) op volle snelheid waardoor je goed de tijd hebt om te fotograveren.
Even verderop is het rangeerterrein daar staan regelmatig extra treinen opgesteld.
Een mooie plek dus om treinen te spotten.
"Station Arnhem Centraal is het centraal station van de stad Arnhem, de hoofdstad van de Nederlandse provincie Gelderland. Het station is een belangrijk knooppunt in Oost-Nederland en in het spoorwegverkeer met Düsseldorf (D), Utrecht, Zwolle, Nijmegen, Tiel en de Achterhoek. Bovendien is het een overstapknooppunt voor het stads- en streekvervoer in het midden van Gelderland. Het huidige stationsgebouw is het vierde station op die plaats. De perrons zijn bereikbaar via een gang/hal onder de sporen, met een ingang aan de zuidzijde, en aan de westzijde via een traverse boven de sporen, met een ingang aan de noordzijde (Sonsbeek-zijde)."

The train tracks on the north side of Arnhem Central Station have been dug in. There is a high embankment on both sides of the rails, adjacent to residential areas.
For example, you can look at the track at the railway bridge between the Oranjestaart and the Noordelijkeparallelweg.
From here you will see the through lines to Nijmegen and the lines to Utrecht passing by. The trains are approaching or just leaving the station, so they are (still) at full speed, giving you plenty of time to take pictures.
A little further on is the shunting yard, where extra trains are regularly drawn up.
A nice place to spot trains.
