This Commercial Commemoration is located near the Midland Cenotaph in Midland, Ontario. It was planted by the 724 Air Cadet Squadron to commemorate 100 years of powered flight in Canada.

The first flight in Canada was done in Baddeck, Nova Scotia on February 23rd, 1909 with the Aerial Experiment Association's Silver Dart. It was piloted by Douglas McCurdy.
