Joan was widow successively of John Kelloway of Cullompton, Devon, and of John Wadham (d.1578) of Merifield, Ilton, Somerset and Edge, Branscombe.

The heraldic shields are as follows:

She married Sir John Wadham about 1517, in Cullompton, Devon, England, United Kingdom. They were the parents of at least 3 sons and 3 daughters. She died on 30 September 1583, in Branscombe, Devon, England, at the age of 82, and was buried in St Winifred's Church, Branscombe, Devon, England."
