Het beeld de Hopplukker is een bronzen beeld langs de Molenstraat. Het is geplaatst in 1982 en gemaakt door de lokale kunstenaar Niek van Leest.

In vroeger tijden bloeide de hopteelt volop in Schijndel. De hopbellen werden in het najaar geplukt en gebruikt bij de bierbereiding. Eens waren er niet minder dan zeven bierbrouwerijen. Net voor de Tweede Wereldoorlog sloot de laatste brouwerij haar poorten. Inmiddels heeft Schijndel weer een hopveld aan de Dinthersedijk en sinds 1996 de brouwerij Sint Servattumus.

The Hopplukker statue is a bronze statue along the Molenstraat. It was placed in 1982 and made by the local artist Niek van Leest.

In earlier times, hop cultivation flourished in Schijndel. The hop cones were picked in the autumn and used in beer preparation. Once there were no less than seven breweries. The last brewery closed its gates just before the Second World War. Schijndel now has a hop field again on the Dinthersedijk and since 1996 the Sint Servattumus brewery.
