The Sand Creek Heritage Museum (managed by the Major County Historical Society) is a fine place to spend half a day. The museum itself hosts exhibits and artifacts from the culture and natural history of northwest Oklahoma, and the 160-acre grounds include historic buildings (including a train depot. a hotel, and a church), a locomotive and several railroad cars, antique farm machinery, and much more.
