This fine "Welcome to Ringwood" sign is carved and burned into a large slice of tree trunk. It is indeed burned in, not just painted. The sign is set on on a stone base set in a small field of lava rock. You will find the sign on the south side of Highway 412 on the west side of town. There is a place to pull off the highway near the sign.
