Sunset Memorial Gardens is on the west side of Highway 177, on the south edge of Stillwater. The central feature of the cemetery is this larger-than-life white marble statue of Jesus Christ. Christ is depicted standing, garbed in robes and with arms outstretched. The statue is set on a tiered stone pedestal. Two benches nearby allow visitors an opportunity to sit and reflect.
Jesus Christ is the central figure of Christianity. Most Christians believe he is the incarnation of God the Son and the awaited Messiah (the Christ) prophesied in the Old Testament.
