Au bout de la rue du Séminaire, surélevé, se dresse fièrement l’ancien Séminaire de Chicoutimi. Construit en 1914 par René-Pamphile Lemay et poursuivi en 1927 par Alfred Lamontagne, le bâtiment de brique est orné d’un majestueux portail en pierre de taille. Le bâtiment actuel du Cégep, d’abord construit comme annexe du Séminaire, puis transformé en véritable Cégep en 1968 est l’oeuvre des architectes Desgagné et Côté.

At the top of rue du Séminaire, upraised, proudly stands the former Séminaire de Chicoutimi. Built in 1914 by René-Pamphile Lemay and completed in 1927 by Alfred Lamontagne, the brick building is adorned by a majestic hewn stone portal. The present Cégep building, first erected as an annex to the Séminaire, then transformed in a true Cegep in 1968, was the work of architects Desgagné et Côté.
