Located at 208 N Capitol Ave, Lansing, MI 48933, the Christman Building is the world’s first triple-Platinum LEED project. The 12 millstones are on display here because the building was built for the Michigan Millers Mutual Fire Insurance Company Building in 1928. Millers Mutual was founded in 1881 to provide fire insurance protection for mills.

There are 12 millstones in a north-south direction on the ground in front of the building. Seven of them are identified with numbers on the stone that associate with a corresponding plaque near the entrance to the building:
