English: British 17 pound cannon at the Occupation Museum Funen in Beldringe on Funen. The cannon is located in the yard of the occupation museum, but can at times also be seen in the green area a few meters from the specified position. The cannon can be seen without paying for access.

Ordnance Quick-Firing 17-pound (or just 17-pdr) 17 pounds was the weight of the grenade, 76.2 mm (3 inches) Cannon developed by Britain during World War II. It was used as an anti-tank cannon, a crew of 6 men could fire 10 shots per minute. Equipped and mounted on a range of British tanks. It was the most effective Allied anti-tank cannon of the war. Used with APDS grenade, it was able to defeat all but the thickest armor on German tanks.

It was used to "upgun" some foreign-built vehicles in British service, especially to produce the Sherman Firefly variant of the American M4 Sherman tank, which allowed British tank units to withstand their German counterparts. In the antitank role, it was replaced by the 120 mm BAT recoilless rifle after the war. As a tank cannon, it was followed by 84 mm cannon 20 pounds.
