The Brazos Valley Brewing Company has been brewing beer here in Brenham since 2014.
The last time we were in Brenham, they were brand-new brewery just starting out brewing four or five seasonal beers. If you wanted to buy a six-pack, the brewer would put together a six-pack or two for you to take to go.
Seven years later, Brazos Valley Brewing Company is definitely doing well. They are taking a page from the Spoetzel Brewery in Shiner (the only brewers of the world famous Texas favorite Shiner Bock beer) in creating amenities (like live music and food trucks) for people to come and spend the day enjoying, which encourages them to spend more money both in the taproom and in the gift shop.
In 2022, the Brazos Valley Brewing Company open hours are as follows:
Monday: Beer to go only
Tuesday: Beer to go only
Wednesday: 3PM to 9PM
Thursday: 3PM to 9PM
Friday: Noon to 10PM
Saturday: Noon to 10PM
Sunday: Noon to 7PM
The Brazos Valley Brewing Company has now added a taproom, a small live music stage, a biergarten, a picnic area, some play equipment for children - this has really become a place where you can come and sip your choice of their 15+ varieties of freshly brewed beers and hang out for a while. They have food trucks from Austin and Houston come in on the weekends.
The evening Blasterz visited, 09 Apr 2022, we enjoyed the acoustic simplicity of classic country music, and some fellowship with Elvis -- the goodest of good bois, who was hanging out with his owner in the biergarten.
Unfortunately Blasterz will be home for Easter, otherwise we would come to the Brazos Valley Brewing Company Easter Egg Hunt -- it would be so much fun to watch all the kids running around finding Easter eggs while sipping on a lovely and refreshing pint of Brown-Eyed Girl Ale or 7 Spanish Angels Ale.
