Blasterz are not sure exactly why the state Highway 239 ends here and the FM 774 begins. Usually FM roads are smaller than state highways, and maintain to different standards. Here, there is no change in the width or the paving quality of this road all the way to its terminus at the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge.
Nevertheless - the sign says the FM 774 begins here and the State Highway 239 ends here, so we thought we might add a waymark for it. It is the beginning of a "secondary" road, and the end of a "primary" road.
