[EN] The traditional route, or one of them, has been replicated by a marked pathway called a Grande Randonnée (GR). The Way of Tours is the GR655. The Via Turonensis proper starts in Paris, traditionally at tour Saint-Jacques, from where it is about 1450 km or two months walking to Santiago. A former priory was at the origin of the city of Longpont-sur-Orge known for its basilica Notre-Dame-de-Bonne-Garde as a stop on the way to Compostella. It houses the most significant reliquary in France.
