Het bakstenen pand in Hollandse neorenaissancestijl is in 1888 gebouwd als LIKEURSTOKERIJ naar ontwerp van de architect Nicolaas Molenaar. Opdrachtgever was A.J.T. Hofman. Later werd het pand in gebruik genomen als kaaspakhuis van de firma Ruys. Sinds 1968 is er een restaurant gevestigd. Hiertoe is op de begane grond een nieuwe pui aangebracht. De bovenverdieping is in gebruik als woonhuis. Op het boogveld boven het zoldervenster staat vermeld ANNO DOM MDCCCXLV (1845). Dit is waarschijnlijk een foutieve overschildering. Op de ontwerptekening van Molenaar staat duidelijk ANNO DOM 1888 en later wanneer de firma Ruys in het pand gevestigd is staat dit jaartal in Romeinse cijfers (MDCCCLXXXVIII) vermeld. Op het dichtgezette boogveld boven het venster op de eerste verdieping heeft "Likeurfabriek" gestaan.

The brick building in Dutch neo-Renaissance style was built in 1888 as a LIKEURSTOKERIJ (clothing store) to a design by architect Nicolaas Molenaar. The client was A.J.T. Hofman. The building was later used as a cheese warehouse by the Ruys firm. Since 1968, it has housed a restaurant. For this purpose, a new facade was installed on the ground floor. The upper floor is used as a residence. On the arch field above the attic window is written ANNO DOM MDCCCXLV (1845). This is probably an erroneous overpainting. The design drawing by Molenaar clearly states ANNO DOM 1888 and later, when the Ruys firm took up residence in the building, this date was given in Roman numerals (MDCCCLXXXVIII). The closed arch field above the window on the first floor says "Liqueur Factory".
