This cut mark is identified as B.M. 36.0 on the historic 25 inch map from the turn-of-the-twentieth-century (Ordnance Survey of Ireland).
Check the West Street wall on the Tholsel building, now home to the Tourist Office. West of the window closest to Shop Street, there is a vertical column of stones jutting out from the wall. The cut mark is at the top edge of the second course of stones. The horizontal portion of the cut mark is disappearing as the ledge erodes.
