The rune stone, found in the area in 1832, can be seen in Saint Olav's church.

The text on the rune stone is rather illegible, but the last 12 characters reads: "give Vígúlvur peace"

The runestone has previously been exhibited at the National Museum in Copenhagen, but is now back in the Faroe Islands.

It is one of several rune stones found in, among other things, excavated Viking settlements in the Faroe Islands. Several of the rune stones can be seen in the museum in Thorshavn
