The Stafford Air and Space Museum houses over 63,000 sq. ft. of exhibits under one roof and showcase thousands of items representing the evolution of aviation and spaceflight. they have worked closely with the Smithsonian Institution, NASA, and the U.S. Air Force Museum to assemble on the finest collection of aerospace artifacts in the central United States. The collection features several full-sized replicas, including the Apollo 11 Moon Lander. The spacecraft that made the first manned landing on another world is depicted in position at Tranquility Base, with Neil Armstrong near the U.S. Flag and Buzz Aldrin descending the ladder.
A modest admission fee (about $10) is required to view this waymark.
