The Northern Banking Company began construction of this building in 1919. Their Markets Branch opened here for business in 1921. As recently as the 1960 edition of the Lennon Wylie city directory material, this address is still listed as a branch of Northern Bank. Since 2010, this building has been home to The Open University in Northern Ireland.
