National Register Survey Card

"Two-story frame, narrow rectangular building with entrance (south) in gabled end. South facade has central double door flanked by a 4/4 light window on each side. Two windows on second floor correspond with those on first floor.

Small porch over entrance, exterior chimney on west and outside stairway on east. Built in 1914 by Beverly and Lula Kerr as a Community center for blacks. Houses social activities and lodge meetings. USO center in World War II. Important social history of blacks in Bastrop."
