Long Description:
The Schultz Wildlife Management Area is open to public use. There are walking trails, picnic facilities, and even some old playground equipment. This waymark is set at the west entrance; there are also access points on the north, south, and east sides of the refuge. The area is centered on Schultz Lake, which is a dry lakebed and a haven for local wildlife. Side oats and buffalo grass predominate on upland sites. Bottomlands consist of salt cedar and cottonwood. The average annual precipitation for the area is about 17 inches.

Several unpaved trails criss cross the area; they are relatively smooth and there is no rough terrain.
