They have added a Vietnam Veterans Memorial in the park and it is now called "Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park".

Abilene Daily Reporter 1/30/1936"(NYA) Director Bullock announced the Jones and Eastland County projects will start next week, the latter with work on the Ranger roadside park."
This is a huge area along FM-254 east of Ranger. A small picnic area remains. There is also a large wooded area with lots of wonderful rock benches. Great place to have a family reunion.
