Drama dvou kamarádu, kterí za války jako ceští letci bojovali v Anglii a po návratu domu museli prožít tak dobre známé martyrium, je príbehem o síle prátelství, odvaze prekrocit sám sebe v utkání s násilím i o právu na zachování lidské pameti. Televizní film s celou plejádou našich výborných hercu byl pocten prestižní mezinárodní cenou Prix Europe v Reykjavíku. Vážnou, charakterní roli si v dramatu zahrál oblíbený komik Josef Dvorák.
