Young is an isolated farming and ranching community in central Arizona. The signs of its past agricultural activity can be seen throughout the area. This old hay rake is located in a grassy field in front of the historical museum. Most of the wooden parts have disappeared and there doesn't appear to be a manufacturer's mark on it. The seat is held in place with a piece of wire which would give a most uncomfortable ride. Other than those minor issues, it is ready to go back to work.
