es: "Edad Contemporánea : 1843-1844 , 1881-1885
Estilo : Neoárabe
Arquitectos : Salvador Amador , Juan Pugnaire , Baltasar Romero y José Contreras

Built during the Nasrid period , it is the only one that has survived of all those that existed in Spain , although it has arrived mutilated . and built " ex novo " in the 19th century . Because of its role in the silk trade, it was configured within the traditional souk as a closed quadrilateral with nine gates. After the Christian conquest it was expanded, although the gradual decline of silk during the following two centuries made it necessary to open other textile businesses and work in leather, cocoa, spices, etc. The appearance of the stores must have been varied , lacking in architectural unity , but after the fire of July 20 , 1843 , the reconstruction project homogenized them and their streets were widened and aligned ."
