This abandoned bridge on "Old Highway 81" once spanned Pond Creek. It has been bypassed by a newer and more capable bridge. Only the steel trusses and girders remain; there is no longer a roadbed on this bridge. According to the web site linked below (a personal blog) the bridge (a single pony truss camelback about 96' long) was constructed in 1926. I was not able to find any information on the new bridge that bypasses this one.
