Access to this disk and the fire tower is via a gravel road (2.65 mile) off of PA Rt 865 just south of Blandburg, PA.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1941 (GWL) THE STATION IS ABOUT 2.75 MILES NE OF BLANDBURG, ON THE TOP OF A BRUSH AND TIMBER-COVERED MOUNTAIN OF THE ALLEGHENY RANGE LOCALLY KNOWN AS LOST MOUNTAIN, AND ON LAND OWNED BY THE STATE, NEAR THE SITE OF THE GLASGOW LOOKOUT TOWER, WHICH IS OWNED AND OPERATED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF FORESTS AND WATERS. IT IS STAMPED LOST MTN. 1941 AND PROJECTS 4 INCHES.
