IJSSALON VAN DER POEL
Al sinds 1925 zijn de ijsjes van IJssalon Van Der Poel een begrip. Eerst in Hengelo en omgeving en later in heel Twente! Iedereen heeft zo zijn eigen favoriet want keuze is er genoeg.
Al vier keer is van der Poel uitgeroepen tot ijssalon van het jaar.
(2001, 2004, 2010 en 2014)
Het ijs wordt dagelijks vers gemaakt met natuurlijke producten kleur en smaakstoffen zijn bij van der Poel taboe!
Hoe het begon
Van der Poel begint in 1925 als banketbakker vanaf 1945 wordt er ook schepijs verkocht.
De zaken lopen goed. Vanaf 1970 wordt er zelfs alleen nog maar ijs verkocht.
De allereerst vestiging (moedervestiging) is op de hoek van de Bornsestraat/Dennenbosweg en werd een begrip in Hengelo en omstreken. Hier bereiden de ijsmeesters het ijs voor alle vestigingen en worden ook de nieuwe smaken ontwikkeld.
Ook staat hier de grootste ijsvitrine van Europa met meer dan 120 bakken ijs met tientallen smaken.
Het is ook het verkooppunt voor overheerlijke ijstaarten
Soorten ijs
Van Caramel Nutexplotion tot Yoghurt Bosvruchten, van Aardbei tot Stroopwafelijs. Je kunt het zo gek niet bedenken of ze hebben het! Naast de ijsjes verkopen zo ook heerlijke ijstaarten
Vestigingen
De IJssalon aan de Bornsestraat in Hengelo is de vestiging waar het allemaal begonnen is. Een plek waar de klanten uit de hele regio bij de eerste zonnestralen naar toe komen. Maar ook aan de Enschedesestraat bij restaurant Intenzo kun je terecht voor een heerlijk Van der Poel ijsje.
Ook Enschede telt 2 ijssalons van Van der Poel. Een aan de Oude Markt en één aan het Willem Wilminkplein.
En het leuke is vander Poel is niet alleen in de zomer een plek om even te genieten van een ijsje ook in de maand december verkopen ze de lekkerste kerstijstaarten én superleuke ijs-kerstmannetjes voor de kids!

The largest ice cream display in Europe is also located here with more than 120 trays of ice cream with dozens of flavors.

Locations
The Ice Cream Parlor on the Bornsestraat in Hengelo is the location where it all started. A place where customers from all over the region come at the first rays of the sun. But you can also enjoy a delicious Van der Poel ice cream at restaurant Intenzo on the Enschedesestraat.
Enschede also has 2 Van der Poel ice cream parlors. One at the Oude Markt and one at Willem Wilminkplein.
And the nice thing is, Vander Poel is not only a place to enjoy an ice cream in the summer, they also sell the most delicious Christmas ice cream cakes and super cute ice cream Santas for the kids in December!
