The Skylark Motel dates to the 1950's and at one time also had a restaurant. After the closure of the motel, the local VFW bought the restaurant, while the hotel became the Agape House. The VFW was granted funding to restore the neon signage through the Route 66 Corridor Preservation Project in 2014.
