Ottawa Airman is believed Killed in airplane crash:

Flying officer Allen G. Wright reported missing following R.A.F. plane crash in Near East. Slim hope is held here for the safety of Flying officer Allen G. Wright, 24 year old son of Mr. and Mrs W. H. Wright of 130 Hawthorne avenue, who is missing following a Royal Air Force plane crash in the Near East on Feb. 14. Mrs Wight, on receipt of a cable from a sister-in-law in England, asked the Royal Canadian Air Force authorities to obtain an official statement from the Royal Air Force. The R.A.F. notified authorities here that the "aircraft was understood to have crashed" but that "a"full report was not yet received.

Flying Officer Wright, who would have celebrated his 25th birthday on April 15, left his home here two years ago last Monday to enlist with the R.A.F. in England. He received his "wings" just after the outbreak of war, and was stationed in London. Latterly, he had been stationed in the Near East.
