St. Francis of the Woods encompasses about two hundred wooded acres on the north side of Highway 33 in Coyle. The retreat offers a library, chapel, lodging, and meeting spaces. A winding path through the woods on the north side of the complex hosts the Stations of the Cross. Each station has a bench so that one can sit and meditate or pray, and an icon within a wooden cabinet. The icons are behind doors (to protect them from the weather) that are easily opened by visitors. The icons are in a distinctly Spanish style. This waymark is set at the trailhead; parking is nearby and walk the trail to the north to visit the Stations.
