This monument is located in Gage Park in Brampton, Ontario. The monument is dedicated to The Lorne Scots (Peel, Dufferin and Halton Regiment). It was placed on the 150th anniversary of the regiments creation in 2016.

This monument is actually a series of identical monuments placed in the Peel, Dufferin and Halton Regions. One here in Brampton, one Orangeville representing Dufferin: (visit link) one in Georgetown for Halton Region and Oakville representing Peel: (visit link)

The marble monument features two stone pillars with the units Battle Honours and a smaller stone at the front with a plaque on it. At the top of the two pillars is the cap badge used by the unit until 2016. On the front of the plaque stone is a boat which is the symbol on the Camp Flag for the Lorne Scots. On the left side of the stone is a wild boar, which is the unit's mascot. The right side features a Lion, a nod to the royal heritage of the unit. The monument was designed by CWO Alex F. McKelvey, Regimental Sergeant Major of the Lorne Scots.

Amongst the Battle Honours are World War I, World War II, War of 1812 and Afghanistan.

(The Lorne Scots are a perpetuation of the 2nd Regiment of York Militia, which participated in the War of 1812)
