In 1979, this NCC (National Capital Commission) Survey horizontal marker was placed near the northeast corner of the top of the base for the navigation light. Since then, the navigation light was replaced but the broken base for the previous navigation light remains on site. Depending on time of year, the marker could be under water, under snow or under ice.
This marker is described in the provincial COSINE database. The relevant reference sketch from that data is included in the view gallery. The marker is not found on the federal web site.
