Initiated in 2016, Waterbrook is still a work in progress. When it is complete, the 105 acre community will have 287 residential lots and nearly 200,000 square feet of commercial and retail space, with the proverbial neighborhood grocery store at the northwest corner (at US 377 and FM 407).

The water wheel features prominently in Waterbrook's literature, standing at a community-only pavilion on the manmade "water feature" that runs from the fishing pond to a little farther back into the subdivision. If the intention was that this be a "brook", it's a little large, and it's essentially a large pond where the water is moved by pump. The waterfall goes over an artistic stone wall that's a little over six feet in height, maybe about thirty feet wide. While Texas does see its share of drought conditions, it's pretty rare that you won't see movement here.
