Au 17 de la rue Bonaparte, au coeur de l'ancien quartier du Dôme, témoin de l'épopée impériale et d'une large partie de l'histoire de la Corse, se trouve l'ancienne demeure du Duc Pozzo di Borgo.
Etonnamment située à 2 pas de la maison natale de Napoléon, elle rappelle que ces deux grandes familles corses, alliées souvent, ont fini par se déchirer à l'ère napoléonienne.
La restauration extérieure réalisée lors de la transformation du bâtiment en hôtel de luxe s'est cantonnée à réaliser intégralement la rénovation de l'encadrement de la porte d'entrée.
Par contre, les décors des fenêtres ont conservé un style, mais sont réalisés en parfaits trompe-l'oeil.
