Next to the Bijenstichting (Bee Foundation) office is a demonstration and testing ground of no less than 6000 m2 that can be visited during open days.

"In this orchard with various standard fruit trees, demonstration fields and flower borders have been laid out with bee-friendly plants so that you can see in practice which plants are suitable as food plants for bees.
The following elements can be viewed in the demonstration garden
Demonstration fields: (de Cruydthoeck seed mixture)
Diverse flowery mixture with species that are particularly attractive to wild and honey bees. A total of 5 mixtures of the Cruydthoeck will be demonstrated. Read the descriptions here.
Perennial borders:
To demonstrate that a beautiful perennial border can also provide food for honeybees, bumblebees and some wild bee species, we have planted a number of flower borders. Read the descriptions here. The plants are in many gardens under the Hello Garden brand; bee and butterfly attractors for sale in many garden centers in the Netherlands. With the list of plants and drawing you can easily create a border in your garden. Click here for a list of borders including drawings and plant lists.

Bee-friendly amenities
All kinds of elements have been installed in the garden, such as a honey apiary, a bee hotel, etc. Read the descriptions here
During the open garden days, our information stand is open and our products from the webshop are for sale
