I've been attending San Diego Comic Con every year since 2015. Even if you don't have a badge, the city transforms into Comic Con and there's a ton of free offsite exhibits, booths, and events to see. The downtown area is turned into the comic con complex from the Petco Interactive Zone adjacent to PetCo Park and the 12th/Imperial trolly station all the way to the Manchester Hyatt. Check out the fun each July!
