[EN] Set of hitching rings on stone wall of Rusko church cemetary. Calculated there is total 6 rings.
The diameter of one hitching ring is about 10 cm and the ring is made of forged iron. It is attached to the stone wall with an iron bracket. All the rings are still in perfect condition, although they are certainly more than a hundred years old!
Back on old days, horse carriages did drive up to church hill and horses were mounted to these rings. On that spot is great view into small river countryside.
In 2009, the Finnish Museum Agency defined Rusko church hill as one of Finland's nationally significant built cultural environments. In addition to the church, belfry, cemetery and loan warehouse located on a high hill, the surrounding area includes the adjacent stone bridge over Ruskonjoki river and the Keskikylä and Nissi houses on the east bank of Ruskonjoki.
Rusko church is a medieval stone church located in Rusko. The stone church was probably built around 1510–1530. The wooden belfry on the southeast side of the church dates from 1744.
[FIN] Ruskon kirkonmäen parkkipaikalla on kuusi rengasta hautausmaan kivimuurissa. Niihin on aikoinaan kiinnitetty hevosia.
Yhden kiinnitysrenkaan halkaisija on noin 10 cm ja rengas on valmistettu takomalla raudasta. Se on kiinnitetty rautakiinnikkeellä kivimuuriin. Kaikki renkaat ovat vielä täysin kunnossa vaikka ikää niillä on varmasti yli sata vuotta.
Ruskon kirkko on keskiaikainen kivikirkko, joka sijaitsee Ruskolla. Kivikirkko rakennettiin todennäköisesti noin vuosina 1510–1530. Puinen kellotapuli kirkon kaakkoispuolella on vuodelta 1744.
Museovirasto on vuonna 2009 määritellyt Ruskon kirkonmäen yhdeksi Suomen valtakunnallisesti merkittävistä rakennetuista kulttuuriympäristöistä. Korkealla mäellä sijaitsevan kirkon, kellotapulin, hautausmaan ja lainamakasiinin ohella ympäristöön kuuluvat viereinen Ruskonjoen ylittävä kivisilta sekä Keskikylän ja Nissin kantatalot Ruskonjoen itärannalla.
