The Caboolture station opened in June 1889, extending the line from Petrie. The current platform opened in November 1985, with electrification of the line in June 1986. The Kilcoy line had branched off near here in 1909, but closed in September 1996. An old and unused turntable is on the eastern side. There is also some 'Rail bus' services from here. Some long-distance trains run through to Bundaberg and Rockhampton. There are three platforms, with a further side-line. A pedestrian over-pass allows access to the platforms from either side. There is a customer car park for 600+ cars. [Wikipedia]
