Respect this Special Place sign is located in the Oliver Cemetery, towards the back of the cemetery behind the Veteran's Memorial. Look for the two flags.

Stay on the Path

This sensitive area is one of the most endangered ecosystems in BC and Canada, also it is protected under the British Columbia Wildlife Act.

It primarily consists of Antelope-Brush grasslands that are rapidly disappearing. The sign informs some of the reasons for its deterioration and how the grassland benefit the community.

There are two sign at this location. The other sign is about the Western Rattlesnake and its importance to this eco-system.
