Located at 387 Smith Street in New Smyrna Beach is the city's Utilities Commission building. In front of the building are three painted hydrants. Each hydrant is painted in a different design. One hydrant is painted in a Minion design with one big eye on the 4.5 inch hose fitting. Another hydrant is painted with stars and strips in red, white and blue. And the remaining hydrant is painted in a Dalmatian dog design with a red fire helmet. All three hydrants face Smith Street and are placed under the NSB Utilities Commission logo that is painted on the building.
