Cockburnille on pystytetty kirkkoon suuri marmorinen muistomerkki. Se on hyvin yksityiskohtainen ja hyvin säilynyt. Aivan lähelle ei tätä kivihahmoa pääse.

There are different information about the time of Samuel Cockburn's death, for example according to Axel Oxenstierna he would have died in February 1622 and according to some sources only in 1631 in Turku. However, Cockburn was buried in Turku Cathedral as early as 1621 after he fell ill and died during a military campaign in Latvia. Cockburn's final resting place is in the Tavasti chapel in the church, where, in addition to him, several bishops are also buried. A large marble memorial to Cockburn has been erected in the church. It is very detailed and well preserved. You can't get very close to this stone figure.
