Les propriétaires l’ont, en partie, aménagé en chambres d’hôtes en 2000.

Désaffecté en 1907, il n’a jamais été électrifié et a été remplacé par les bateaux-phares marquant l’entrée du chenal. »
Chambres d’hôtes
Au pied du phare, dans une grande maison à deux ailes, étaient logées les familles des trois gardiens qui se relayaient pour faire fonctionner le phare. En 1923, il a été mis aux enchères par l’État. Son premier propriétaire, Gaston David, en fit sa maison familiale.
« Je suis très attachée à ce phare, que mon grand-père habitait déjà au siècle dernier et où j’ai passé une partie de mon enfance. Assez naturellement, nous avons voulu faire partager ce patrimoine en créant des chambres d’hôtes il y a 13 ans. La maison offre des pièces spacieuses qui associent une décoration très brocante avec des meubles de famille. En plus du grand jardin pour se détendre, nos hôtes peuvent bénéficier de la vue qu’offre la tour du phare… À condition d’avoir le courage de gravir les 192 marches. »
Car si l’optique a été démontée, la tour est toujours accessible par un grand escalier en colimaçon et un bâti en bon état. Et là, du haut de ces 32 mètres, vous aurez le privilège d’admirer un magnifique panorama à 360 degrés, donnant sur l’estuaire de la Seine !
Le phare fait l’objet d’un classement au titre des Monuments historiques depuis le 13 septembre 2011 et abrite aujourd’hui, cinq chambres d’hôtes, pour une capacité de douze personnes.
