[ENG] The mining museum in Miedzianka is a hidden gem and heaven for geology lovers. You will be welcomed by a big display of rocks outside of the museum. It is a pity, that there are no information boards about them but after close inspection, you will notice colorful veins, geodes, and fossils. After entering the museum itself you will find rooms filled with mining gear, memorial mugs, and of course cabinets filled with minerals and rocks. There are specimens from all over the world gather here, but the most interesting ones are those collected locally. Azurite and malachite can be found in the neighborhood as it is rich in copper. There are small information boards and by reading them you can learn about these beautiful minerals.

Azurite is a soft, deep-blue copper mineral produced by weathering of copper ore deposits. Malachite is a copper carbonate hydroxide mineral. This opaque, green-banded mineral crystallizes in the monoclinic crystal system.
