This Boeing 737-200 is on permanent display at a small airpark on the south side of Avenue das Cataratas, right across from the Parque das Aves. A sign in both Portuguese and English gives some history of the aircraft. The English text is:
The GTE (Special Transportation Group of the Brazilian Air Force) Aircraft was used to transport eight presidents (Ernesto Geisel, Joao Figueiredo, Tancredo Neves, Jose Sarney, Fernando Collor, Itamar Franco, Fernando H. Cardoso, and Luis Inacacio Lula da Silva) from 1976 to 2010 and one of the most notable missions was the transport of Pope John Paul II in 1980.
