The whole single-storey shopping centre at Salamander Bay is flat roofed; and where the external signage is on the NE side for ALDI is NOT where the store is! (I didn't see any external signage at the northern end.) The coordinates listed for the 'northern' entrance, at the eastern side; which is the closest entry to the store. There is a fair bit of untimed, open air car parking at the NE and SW sides of the Indoor Shopping Mall; with some shade-sail coverage on the north-east side.
There are alcohol sales here, with slightly shorter Liquor Trading Hours on Sunday morning. There was plenty of coin/token-release trolleys, and black plastic shopping baskets. The store is easily wheelchair accessible.
Unless you are actually coming from Salamander Bay (in which case, turn left at Community Close for the Tomaree Library - then right at the next small roundabout), the best entry from Nelson Bay Road/ Salamander Way, is to turn right at the Bagnall Beach Road roundabout, even though there is no signage for ALDI there! The take the next left onto Town Centre Circuit. On the eastern side are some car parks covered by shade sails.
